Story
Bobby Lee Priest and I had our first date on December 29th, 2000. Everything happened so quickly. He proposed to me about a month later. I said yes, of course. At that point I was living in my own apartment, and he was in the process of getting a job in Pleasanton at MegaPath Networks, and moving in with his bestfriend, Spiffy, and his wife Shannon. So since we were going to get married now, he asked them if I could move in. It took them awhile to decide, but I ended up landing Shannon a job at ICV Digital Media, and they said yes! Since I would need to drive her to work.
I started to make plans for the wedding. It was originally planned for August 2001... so Bob and I decided that hey, we could start a family any time. We both really wanted kids... so we stopped trying not to have any.. and voila I got pregnant. We found out I was 5 weeks and 6 days pregnant on April 13th, 2001. I had already bought a dress for the wedding, which by August I definitely wouldn't fit into... so I talked to Bob about pushing it off until after the baby, but he wanted to be married when the baby was born. So I called up my parents, told them they were going to be grandparents and then asked when the earliest they could be out here. They had already come in March to meet Bob because they wanted to meet him before they let him marry their daughter. They said June, so we set the wedding for June 9th, 2001. I made my bestfriend Tara my maid of honor, Maggie one of my bride's maids, and then I asked Shannon, since we had gotten to be good friends, to be another one of my bride's maids. Bob had already decided that Spiffy was gonna be his best man, his long time bestfriend Jake was going to be a groomsmen, and his friend Casper the other groomsmen. Since it had gone from 6 months to plan a wedding to 2 1/2 months to plan a wedding, we needed to decide quick and cheap where to have a wedding. We had originally thought of having it on the beach, so I checked into it. The first time we had gone to the beach together, it was in Half Moon Bay. I thought that was a nice beach, so I said, "hey bob! Let's get married there." He agreed and that's where we got married.
